The Clever Crow And The Pots

Once upon a time, on a very hot summer day. A thirsty crow flew across the village looking for water. His throat was dry, and his wings felt heavy from the heat.
The Clever Crow And The Pots

As he searched, he spotted some clay pots lined up near a hut. With hope in his heart, the crow flew down quickly. He peeped inside the first pot—empty! He hopped to the second—also empty. The third one—still nothing. The poor crow began to feel sad, but he did not give up.

Finally, when he looked inside the fourth pot, he saw a little water at the bottom. His eyes sparkled with joy, but the water was too low for his beak to reach.

The clever crow thought for a while. Then he noticed small stones lying nearby. He picked one up with his beak and dropped it into the pot. *Plop!* The water rose a little. Excited, he dropped more stones, one by one. Slowly, the water level rose higher and higher. At last, the crow was able to drink the cool water. His thirst was gone, and he happily flew away.
