The Shepherd and The Sheep
In a village, there lived a shepherd named Ramu. Every day, he took his sheep to the nearby forest to graze. He loved to play pranks on people.
One day, he got an idea for a prank and started shouting, “Help! Help! The wolf is here! The wolf is here!”
The villagers ran to help him, but there was no wolf. Ramu started laughing loudly and said, “I’ve fooled you, I’ve fooled you.” His behavior made the villagers leave in anger.
A few days later, Ramu played the same prank again. The villagers came to rescue him again, but again they found nothing there. This time, they were determined not to trust him.
One day, Ramu took his sheep to graze in the forest, but this time a real wolf came. The shepherd was frightened and cried, “Help! Help! A wolf is coming! A wolf is coming!“
But the villagers thought he was joking again, so no one came to help.
The wolf Killed many sheep and then went away. The shepherd felt very sad and understood his mistake.
Moral:
A liar is not believed even when he tells the truth. Therefore, we should never lie.
