The Mischievous and Naughty Monkey 🐒🌿
Between the high mountains, there was a forest full of dense trees and colorful flowers. There lived a mischievous little monkey named Monty.
Monty loved to eat bananas, mangoes, and coconuts all day long. But he had a very bad habit…
After eating the fruit, he would throw the peels and leftover fruit on the ground.
“Who cares?” Monty would laugh. “Our forest is huge!”
One day, his friend, Tinku the parrot, said, “Monty, please don’t litter. It makes our forest dirty.”
Monty rolled his eyes and said, “Don’t be silly, Tinku! It’s just a peel! Our forest is huge, what difference does it make?”
A few days later, his friend, Raju the rabbit, said, “Monty, don’t throw the banana peels on the ground! Someone might slip! And get seriously hurt!”
Monty laughed loudly, “Don’t give me stupid advice! It won’t hurt anyone!”
All the animals were upset by his behavior, but Monty didn’t listen.
One afternoon, Monty was happily swinging from tree to tree.
“I’m the king of the jungle!” he shouted.
Suddenly—
Phoosh!
Monty jumped down from a tall tree to pick up a mango that had fallen to the ground and…
Slipped!
“Oh no!” he yelled as he slipped on a banana peel and landed on a large rock.
“Ouch… I’m in so much pain…” Monty groaned.
Hearing his groan, the other animals gathered. He had broken a bone in one of his legs from the fall. He couldn’t even stand up.

Tinku said softly, “Monty… that’s what we were trying to tell you.”
Monty looked around. The jungle floor was dirty—banana peels, fruit peels, and garbage everywhere… all because of him.
He felt ashamed.
“I’m sorry,” Monty said softly. “I was wrong. I shouldn’t have called you stupid.” Doctor Billu Bear healed his leg.
Three days later, Monty woke up early in the morning. He picked up all the peels lying around in the jungle and cleared the paths. He even made a small basket to collect the garbage!
When the other jungle animals saw this, they were amazed.
“Wow, Monty has changed now!” Tinku said happily.
Soon, all the animals joined him. They cleaned together, laughed together, and made the jungle beautiful again.
Now, Monty always throws away his garbage, washes his hands, and reminds others to do the same—but with love!
Moral of the story: Cleanliness is very important for us. It keeps us safe, healthy, and happy. We should always keep our surroundings clean.
